Jan Sahas has been a member of NITI Aayog’s Working Group for Social Justice and Empowerment on Social Inclusion: Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes & Other Backward Classes. Jan Sahas has been a member of the Task Force to conduct the third-party survey of manual scavengers in 164 Districts of 14 States constituted by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment (Government of India) in consultation with NITI Aayog.

Jan Sahas has worked closely with the Government of Madhya Pradesh, specifically with:

Department of Women and Child: Extending support to the Department on incidents to prevent domestic violence and impart better education and health services to rural communities in Madhya Pradesh.

Department of Food: Seconded staff to the Department to work on improving the portability (via ONORC) and delivery of rations in the state.

Jan Sahas has worked with Madhya Pradesh State Legal Service Authority to establish Legal Clinics. We also work with various District Legal Service Authority in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Maharashtra.

Jan Sahas has worked with the Government of Chhattisgarh, specifically with:

Department of Labour: Jan Sahas is part of the Program Management Unit (PMU) to provide technical assistance to the Department specifically on improving the registration mechanism and scheme redesigning.

Department of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs: Jan Sahas is working with the Department to support the implementation of One Nation One Ration Card scheme.

Jan Sahas has worked with the Government of Telangana, specifically with:

Labour Department: Jan Sahas, through its MRC initiative is collaborating with the Department of Labour to:

(a) Accelerate the registration of e-Shram for the unorganized workers in Hyderabad and Vikarabad

(b) Develop a landscape report on best practices for social protection across other states in India

(c) A staff member to the department to assist with data analysis and scheme re-design.
