Malnutrition is the primary reason behind 69% of deaths of children below the age of five in India. Every second child in India, belonging to that age group is affected by some form of malnutrition, further, we are home to 46.6 million stunted children, a third of the world's total as per Global Nutrition Report 2018. It is needless to say that all of these children belong to the poorest and most venerable communities like migrate workers. Jan Sahas has implemented successful interventions which have shown significant results in terms of addressing the problem of malnutrition and lack of early childhood education at both source and destination locations. Jan Sahas is currently working with 3,109 ICDS centers and covering over half a million children, 54,658 pregnant and lactating women, 8,992 frontline workers and 22 Nutrition Rehabilitation Centers (NRCs) towards our step to ensure that no child dies of hunger and malnutrition.
